Melbourne and Sydney Stations Named Finalists in Community Radio Awards
Congratulations to member stations 89.9 LightFM in Melbourne, and Hope 103.2 in Sydney for being named finalists in this year’s CBAA Awards. LightFM are up for two awards – Best Station Production for Belgrave Heights Christian School, and Best Station Promotion or Fundraising Campaign for their ‘Your News’ Partner Day. This raised funds that have allowed LightFM to broadcast their own ‘family friendly’ news format in partnership with Vision Radio. LightFM’s CEO Jarred Graetz was delighted with the announcement and said, “this is a great accolade and encouragement for our whole team, and it would be good to see more Christian stations entering these awards in the future.”
Hope 103.2 are once again a finalist in the Excellence in Digital Media category for their Online Advent Calendar created for the 25 days of Christmas 2015.
CBAA Chief Executive Officer Jon Bisset congratulated all finalists in this year’s awards, which attracted a record number of entries. Jon said, “We are excited to build on last year’s record number of entries in 2016. Thank you to everyone that entered this year and congratulations to all our finalists. We look forward to celebrating and announcing the winners in November as part of our national conference.”
A full list of categories and finalists is available here and winners will be announced at the 2016 CBAA Gala Dinner in Melbourne on Saturday November 12.
