CMAA Members free offer: Live Election Tally Results on your Website

Written by Gutenberg on . Posted in News & Updates

Our friends at Bond University have made a simple web tool that takes the live feed from the AEC and shows the count and swings in each electorate. They are offering this tool as a FREE application for your website.

This is an opportunity to point people and drive traffic to your website on election night!

The tool can be customised with your own logo etc.

If you would like a live election tally for your website for election night – here is what you do:

1. Identify the electorate name that you would like to have as what is effectively your “tally home page”. In the case of the one below – it is “mcpherson”

2. Paste the iframe link on your site – replacing the electorate name “mcpherson” in the link to the one you have identified. The link for the embed will be: <iframe src=”https://election.beitsafe.technology/feed/electorate/mcpherson”></iframe>

That’s it!

The tool is still being finalised with graphs etc yet to be launched, but you can visit the trial site here to get an idea.

Thanks to Daniel Murphy from BeITSafe for his generosity and support of our sector in providing this benefit to friends of CMAA.
