A conversation at last year’s CMAA Conference led to Lutheran Media hiring Strategic Minds Communications to rebrand their ‘Face to Face’ radio program and website. Face to Face had been around more than 30 years with content – on topics as diverse as dementia, depression and forgiveness – broadcast on over 120 radio stations (and the Vision Network) in Australia and New Zealand.
“Over that time many people have come to hear and believe in the good news of Jesus Christ and have their lives changed,” said Richard Fox, Lutheran Media Director. “Many have had their lives forever transformed. We want to continue to reach and connect with as many people as possible. However, the Face to Face brand was becoming lost amongst the media noise and people not knowing what it actually was. We discovered from people responding to the radio programs that more and more people are in need of hope, real hope.”
“With the guidance of Andy Meier of Strategic Minds, we replaced the Face to Face name with ‘Messages of Hope’ which better reflects who we are and helps engage more people through radio and online with video content. Andy connected very well with us even though we are based out of Adelaide. After developing the brief, he provided many great design options and worked with us to focus and polish the branding and create a style guide. It’s fresh, engaging and uplifting and we have already received many positive comments on the new image,” said Richard.
“We love to help ministries get increased exposure and I have no doubt that Messages of Hope are well positioned for increased growth and engagement with those needing encouragement and answers, whether on the radio or online”, says Andy Meier. “Interestingly, ‘messages of hope’ were words already appearing in the Face to Face tagline, just not very prominent. Sometimes the best solution is right on front of you. We just had to identify the best new name and then create the right look around it.”
“As a result of the re-branding we have aligned our messages which include short videos and different lengths of radio content that make it easier for radio stations to play the messages.” said Richard. “We would like Messages of Hope to reach more people as it shares the hope Jesus’ offers them.”
