The CMA is the peak body for Christian Broadcasting in Australia and is a member driven organisation. There are many benefits to organisations who join the CMA, including training, significant discount to the CMA conference, industry advocacy and advice, a special "members only" section of the website where there is a mountain of resources and forums available (to be launched at the CMA conference May 2006.


There are two categories of membership of the Association –

Full members – those organisations who represent licensed broadcasters, aspirant broadcasters seeking licenses, international broadcasters and program producers and any entities the members in general meeting approve. Full member shall have one vote at any meeting of members.

Associate members – those individuals or organisations who are accepted by the Board to be in this category as being associated with Christian broadcasting in Australia.  Associate members shall have no vote at any meeting of members but will have moving and speaking rights. Associate members shall not be eligible to nominate for the board of management.

Membership is open to
  • any organisation that operates a broadcasting organisation in Australia or supplies programme content to a broadcasting organisation in Australia, and who agrees aligns with the Statement of Purpose for the Association and subscribes to the Code of practice and Statement of Faith.
  • any individual who agrees aligns with the Statement of Purpose for the Association and subscribes to the Code of practice and Statement of Faith and who can demonstrate an active interest in the activities of the Association.
An organisation or individual who applies and is approved for membership as provided in these Rules is eligible to be a member of the Association on payment of the entrance fee and annual subscription payable under these Rules.
