Infographic video engages Christians with a powerful story of poverty and justice.
The campaign was produced by Strategic Minds Communications, with the intent of asking people to see the world and themselves in a different way and to build a mass movement among Australian Christians. Primarily delivered through animated video infographics, Andy Meier, Director of Strategic Minds, explained, “It’s been a fairly intense couple of months for our team: from concept to scripting, storyboard, to illustration, the animation and video edit, plus design and print booklets all very quickly. But very rewarding at the same time! It was real privilege to be asked to create a strong campaign for an Micah’s vitally important advocacy work in this country.”
Ben Thurley, Micah Australia’s National Coordinator explains: “Micah Australia is a coalition of Christian aid and development organisations and church groups campaigning together on some of the biggest issues related to global poverty, inequality and injustice. These are issues that can feel overwhelming. So we knew that we really needed to break them down and tell clear, creative and compelling stories about the issues and how and why Christians can act together to change things”.
Micah’s coalition of agencies includes World Vision, CBM, Baptist World Aid, Tear, Caritas and ten others.
“Our vision is that Christians will be so inspired by the love of God and so committed to speaking out for and with the world’s poorest people, that our nation’s leaders have no choice but to respond. That we can pray, speak and act together to shape Australia as a more just and generous nation”.
“Strategic Minds helped us find those clear and creative ways to talk about our issues and created a really engaging video and accompanying print material that invites Christians to raise their voices with us. Andy and the team were responsive and insightful through the process and their strategic advice was exactly what we needed.”
