Rhema FM 106five on the Sunshine coast has re-branded their radio station as Salt106.5
Launching on December 1st, the first day of summer, Salt106.5’s new CEO, Phil Gray said, “The station is a new kind of radio station in that its ‘not just for Christians’ (as it was), it’s a station that is focused on our community and positive family values! Simply put, we are ‘Good Friends, with Great Music and a message of Hope.’, we will promote ‘faith, family & fun’.”
The new breakfast team includes much loved Sunshine Coast personality Jo Bouris, who has worked with some of the world’s biggest radio and TV companies but has always had a passion for community-focused values based media and especially loves the platform of ‘local radio’. Jo is joined by the newly appointed Tim Sisarich, a seasoned media professional from New Zealand and father of five who spent almost a decade running Focus on the Family NZ.
Fiona Cameron joins the on-air team from 9am to 12 noon, Steve Dunster is on 12 noon to 3pm with Luke and Susie Holt taking the drive shift from 3pm to 6pm.
In addition, the station promises to feature some of Australia’s most encouraging and up-lifting communicators and speakers, to make it a radio station that inspires, encourages and connects with the whole family.
Development of the station re-brand took over a year, with Board Chairman, Richard Daniel initiating the process in 2015 utilising the services of Andy Meier, Creative Director of Strategic Minds Communications.
The new website was created by Christian Media & Arts Australia as part of the Digital Sustainability CBF Grant. This service is available to all regional CMAA stations as a result of this grant.
