Station Managers and Technologists encouraged to attend Technorama 2016, 22-24 July
This year’s location is in Campbelltown, just west of Sydney’s CBD, easy to get to by car, and a direct one hour train journey from Sydney airport. The venue is co-located with 2MCR with plenty of affordable accommodation nearby.
Guest speak is former BBC Radio Head of Future Media and Technology - James Cridland. As a futurologist, James will be looking at how technology changes the face of radio, and has promised to come loaded with enthusiasm and a kitbag of great ideas for you to take home.
Stephen Wilkinson, Technical Operations Manager for Hope 103.2 says, “I’ve attended Technorama over the years and it’s a great place to meet fellow technologists, share stories and experiences, which helps benefit each other in the sector.”
Attendees won’t want to miss the opening function, a tour of MediaHub, Australia’s most sophisticated media playout centre and home to all the ABC’s streaming. The program also features sessions on getting grants, knowing your transmission, what to do about linking, station program automation, where to get cheap tech, and what’s new in tech.
Technorama supports the technologists who build and maintain community broadcasting stations in Australia. To find out more and to register - visit the Technorama website
